Independent Component Analysis Applied to the Removal of Artifacts in the Detection of Ventricular Late Potentials

چکیده

During the detection of late potentials a large number of heartbeats is rejected due to the artifact corruption of the EKG. In this paper we investigate the possibility of decreasing this rejection through the removal of the artifacts based on the analysis of the EKG using its statistically independent components.. Using this procedure a 53% increase on the heart beat acceptance ratio was obtained, but the performance depends on the electrode positioning.
